At Burning Man in 2012, I set up an art therapy wall at my camp, Habitat for Insanity: two 4x8 sheets of plywood standing easel style, covered with fresh paper every day, and cans of spray paint for anyone to use.
The art from people passing by amazed me. Then I posted a scheduled event for the wall, something like Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. I wasn't sure anyone would come. People trickled in until about 35 had gathered, and they turned out to be art therapists from around the world.
I hadn't planned that. Watching them connect and trade their stories and experiences so they could learn from each other touched my heart.
That's how things sometimes work for me. I get inspired, and then I get to enjoy the surprises that come from following my intuition.
